Mark your calendars for a night of fun and fellowship. January 27, 2012 will be the culmination of Crusaders For A Cure. The MLHS girls basketball team will be hosting this event in an effort to raise awareness and funds for women who have cancer. All proceeds of the Crusaders For A Cure activities will go to Ridgeview Medical Center’s Pay It Forward patient assistance fund. Through this fund Ridgeview is able to provide emergency financial assistance to patients facing challenges during their treatment for cancer.
The evening of Janaury 27 will include a recognition of those who have been impacted by cancer, a shooting contest with great prizes, a free throw sponsor contest, and other activities.
If you are interested in donating to this very worthy cause, you may do so in several ways. You can print out a donation form and mail it to the following address along with a check made payable to Pay It Forward:

Those who donate to the event using the donation form will be able to recognize a loved one using the following logo. These will be on display at Mayer Lutheran leading up to and on January 27 in honor of those who have faced a battle with cancer.
Crusaders For A Cure bracelets are available from any girls basketball player or coach. Any donation is accepted for these bracelets, with all proceeds going to the Pay It Forward fund. Bracelets are also available at all girls basketball games and some boys basketball games.
A final way to contribute to this event is through donations of prizes for the shooting contest. If you or someone you know would be willing to donate prizes such as gift cards for area businesses, items of clothing, or other prizes, please contact Coach Gustin at kgustin@lhsmayer.org to make arrangements.
